Town Ruins

Ruins is a word used to describe the remains of man made architecture. These are remnants of something that has become partially or largely destroyed. Visiting the ruins gives you the chance to imagine the lives of ancient people who lived there. The structures simply tell stories about what was life and also the unique cultural aspects of their civilization. Ruins may be caused by wars or natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires and volcanoes. Historical ruins are often a good place for historians, archaeologists and anthropologists to determine what events occurred there.
The ruins of the Mayan site of Tulum is amazing to see. It is one of the best preserved coastal Mayan sites, and the third most visited archaeological site in Mexico. Its proximity to the development of modern tourism, along the Caribbean coast of Mexico has made it a popular destination for tourists. The Tulum ruins are located on a cliff overlooking a beautiful beach and sea are about 80 miles south of Cancun and 35 miles from Playa del Carmen. The site is easily accessible from the motorway and it is not difficult to explore.
The archaeological ruins of Tulum have a number of structures beautifully preserved and buildings to explore and the scenery is exceptional.
