Identify Medallion Nazi?

I have a medallion that has a man with a helmet with a swastika below. writing on forehead panzeraufklarungsabteilung 40. aft says 14 08/15/1940 15/04/1942 Panzer div. I saw a bronze replica cheap but mine is like silver or steel. Is there any value to this? I can not find anything anywhere on it. I think it is too large to be a pin.
