Wwii July
Anybody think the Dow Jones Ind. will be 4,500.00 by July, 2011?

With out of control deficits, continuing unemployment growth, new socialistic agenda’s, possible death of capitalism as its been known post WWII I think there is still a realistic probability that the entire financial system may collapse post bail era of 2008-09. A dollar only backed by “confidence” leaves little room for error by anyone.

Less than a 2% chance in ten years…so I would take an educated guess that the 18 month probability makes it a black swan event: possible but highly improbable (”an event on the event horizon that is impossible to measure accurately”).

Be careful not to project political economic forecasts into the realm of market performance. (1) They have a very long history of being completely wrong because of (2) assumptions in the political world that don’t apply very clearly to the marketplace.
